Overflowing Bars Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the health and armor bars in Overflowing Bars?
The mod works out of the box — the bars replace the vanilla health, armor and toughness displays automatically once installed. There is nothing to enable in-game; if you see stacked hearts and a toughness bar above your hunger, it's already running.
How do I read the stacked hearts when I have more than 10 hearts?
The top row shows your base hearts in the vanilla red color, and any extra layers are drawn on top in orange. A small number beside the bar tells you how many layers are stacked, so you don't have to guess from the color.
What does the orange number next to my hearts mean?
It's the count of stacked health layers beyond the first row. Each layer represents another full set of hearts, so the number tells you how many extra rows are sitting on top of your base health.
Why is my armor bar showing light blue icons?
Light blue icons are stacked armor points beyond the first row of twenty. The mod only draws as many armor icons as necessary, so a light blue layer means you have more armor than a single vanilla bar can show.
Where is the armor toughness bar and how do I move it?
Armor toughness appears as its own bar just above the hunger bar, mirroring how the armor bar behaves. You can shift it to the left side of the HUD through the mod's config so it doesn't overlap other elements.
How do I move the toughness bar to the left side of my screen?
Open the mod's config screen and look for the toughness bar position option, then switch it to the left. The change applies immediately, so you can check placement without restarting.
Overflowing Bars is clashing with my other HUD mod — how do I fix it?
Most conflicts come from two mods drawing health or armor in the same spot. Disable the health/armor rendering in the other HUD mod, or move the Overflowing Bars elements in its config until they no longer overlap.
Can I hide the toughness bar if I don't want it?
Yes — the toughness display is a separate toggle in the config. Turn it off if you only want the health and armor bars, or leave it on and just reposition it.
Does Overflowing Bars work with mods that add extra hearts or armor?
Yes, that's the whole point — it expands the bars past vanilla limits so modded health and armor values still display correctly. As long as the other mod uses the standard health and armor attributes, the bars will stack the extra values.
Will Overflowing Bars hurt my FPS?
No — it only replaces the vanilla HUD rendering with a compact version, so the performance cost is negligible. If you notice stutter, check for other HUD mods fighting over the same screen space rather than this one.
