How to Mine an Entire Ore Cluster at Once with Ore Harvester

The Basic Crouch-Mine Action

Ore Harvester triggers when you crouch (hold your sneak key) while breaking an ore block that is part of a cluster. The mod then breaks every connected ore block in that cluster simultaneously, and all drops appear at the location of the block you originally mined.

1. Find an ore cluster — coal, iron, gold, redstone, diamond, emerald, lapis, or any other ore that generates in groups.

2. Hold your crouch/sneak key.

3. Break any one ore block in the cluster with your pickaxe.

4. Watch the rest of the connected cluster break in the same instant.

What Counts as "Connected"

Only ore blocks that touch the cluster count. A block must be adjacent to one of the blocks being broken to be included in the chain. Diagonally connected ore blocks are also broken, but only if they are visible through an air block — meaning the diagonal neighbor needs open air between it and the cluster so the mod can "see" it. Ore blocks fully encased in stone with no air exposure on the diagonal will not chain.

If you break a lone ore block with no neighbors, nothing extra happens — you just get the normal single drop. Crouching is what tells the mod you want the whole cluster gone, so you can still mine single ores normally by not sneaking.
