Find and Befriend the Smiling Professor

Locate the Smiling Professor NPC wandering the Overworld. She is the key to forming alliances and building your faction. Approach her and feed her cooked food or apples repeatedly to build trust and unlock alliance options.

Claim Territory

Once allied, place Territory Core blocks at strategic locations around your base. These blocks define your faction's claimed land and serve as anchor points for defensive outposts. You can place multiple cores to expand your territory.

Hire and Station Guards

Interact with Territory Core blocks to hire allied guards using emeralds. Each core can garrison a customizable number of troops depending on your resources. Assign guards to high-traffic areas, chokepoints, and vulnerable structures.

Optimize Your Garrison

• Distribute forces: Don't concentrate all guards in one location; spread them across multiple cores for layered defense.
• Upgrade equipment: Equip guards with better weapons and armor before waves arrive.
• Monitor morale: Keep guards well-supplied and positioned to prevent them from abandoning posts during intense battles.

Your allied faction will share your hive-mind advantage: guards will hunt hostile mobs while ignoring your villagers and pets.
