Dig Straight Trenches Across Your World

Creating Linear Excavation

The trench strike creates a straight line of explosions from sky to ground, perfect for digging channels, creating roads, or establishing defensive perimeters without manually mining.

Executing a Trench Strike

1. Obtain a fishing rod using /ob give

2. Stand at one end of where you want your trench to begin

3. Aim your fishing rod along the ground in the direction you want the trench to go

4. Cast the rod to trigger the orbital strike

5. A line of TNT will fall and explode, carving out a channel

Optimization Tips

For longer trenches, cast multiple times in sequence, aiming further along each time. The trench will clear blocks down several layers, so you'll get useful materials as well as cleared space. This is faster than manual digging for large projects. The width of the trench depends on the strike pattern, so experiment with different orbital strike types to find your preferred channel size. Trenches are ideal for creating drainage systems, defensive moats around bases, or pathways through difficult terrain.
