Orbital Strike Cannon Datapack & Mod Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get my first strike rod?
Open chat and type `/function orbital_strike_cannon:get_nuke` to receive a Nuke strike rod. Hold it in your main hand, aim at your target area, and right-click to cast and trigger the orbital strike.
What's the difference between Nuke Shot and Stab Shot?
Nuke Shot drops multiple layers of TNT from above to flatten large areas instantly, while Stab Shot fires a concentrated beam straight down through terrain to bedrock, dealing heavy damage to players and mobs in its path.
Can I use the Wolf Rod to defend my base?
Yes—the Wolf Rod summons a large pack of armored wolves with combat buffs that will attack targets you designate. They spawn with Strength, Speed, Regeneration, and Fire Resistance, making them effective for base defense or offense.
Do I need to aim precisely when casting a strike?
You should aim toward your target area before right-clicking, but the strike will land in the general vicinity of where you're looking. For critical precision work like digging to bedrock, aim carefully at the exact spot you want to pierce.
What happens if I use Nuke Shot near my own buildings?
Nuke Shot will destroy everything in its blast radius, including your own structures. Use it only in areas you want completely flattened, or keep your base far away from strike zones.
Can I store multiple strike rods without filling my inventory?
Yes—use `/function orbital_strike_cannon:get_nuke_shulker` (or the equivalent command for other rod types) to get a shulker box pre-filled with strike rods, letting you carry many more in compact storage.
Does Stab Shot actually reach Bedrock?
Yes, Stab Shot pierces straight down through all terrain layers until it hits bedrock, making it ideal for mining deep shafts or reaching the bottom of the world quickly.
What's the difference between regular Nuke and Law-Nuke?
Law-Nuke is a more destructive variant of the standard Nuke Shot, delivering even more explosive chaos. Use it when you want maximum devastation over a large area.
Will strike rods work if I'm not holding them in my main hand?
No—you must hold the strike rod in your main hand to cast it. If it's in your offhand or inventory, right-clicking won't trigger the orbital strike.
Can I use multiple strike types in the same world?
Yes—get different strike rods using their respective commands and store them in shulker boxes or your inventory. You can switch between Nuke, Stab, Wolf, and other variants as needed for different tasks.
