Prevent Servers from Detecting Your Mods
Enable Vanilla Spoofing
Servers can see which mods you have installed and may kick you for using them. OpSec Mod lets you hide this information.
1. Open the multiplayer server list
2. Click the OpSec settings button at the top
3. Navigate to the Protection tab
4. Enable Vanilla Spoofing (or similar mod-hiding option)
5. Leave and rejoin any server you're currently on for changes to take effect
Verify Your Mods Are Hidden
Once enabled, servers will see your client as unmodded Minecraft. You can confirm this is working by:
- Using
/opsec infoto see which mods the mod is currently protecting - Checking the Protection tab to ensure the setting remains enabled
If a server still detects mods after enabling this, you may need to add specific mods to the whitelist if the server requires them, or restart your game client entirely.
Note: Some servers legitimately need certain mods (like Fabric API). Use the Whitelist tab to allow trusted mods to communicate with the server normally while keeping others hidden.
