OpSec Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Where do I find the OpSec settings?
Open the multiplayer server list and look for the OpSec button at the top of the screen. Click it to open the settings menu with tabs for Protection, Whitelist, Accounts, and Miscellaneous options.
How do I stop servers from seeing what mods I have?
Go to the Protection tab in OpSec settings and enable vanilla spoofing. This makes your game appear unmodded to servers so they cannot detect or block you for using mods.
Why does the server still see my mods even with OpSec on?
Check the Whitelist tab—you may have accidentally allowed certain mods to communicate with the server. If you changed settings while playing, leave and rejoin the server for the new rules to take effect.
How do I add multiple Minecraft accounts to switch between?
Go to the Accounts tab in OpSec settings and add your different accounts using offline mode or session tokens. You can then swap between them directly from the game menu without restarting.
What does 'Stop Tracking' actually do?
OpSec saves server resource packs separately for each account so servers cannot link your different accounts together. It also blocks dangerous links that try to scan your private home network and stops servers from checking your keyboard input.
How do I know if a server is trying to track me?
OpSec sends chat alerts and popup warnings when a server attempts to scan your game or track your activity. Watch for these notifications during gameplay to stay aware of tracking attempts.
Can I use OpSec with other privacy mods?
OpSec is designed to work alongside other mods, but you can control which mods are allowed to communicate with servers using the Whitelist tab. Test your setup to ensure protections work as expected.
What's the difference between the Protection and Whitelist tabs?
The Protection tab controls core privacy features like vanilla spoofing and chat signature blocking. The Whitelist tab lets you choose specific mods that are allowed to communicate with servers normally, bypassing protections.
Does OpSec stop servers from forcing resource packs on me?
Yes—OpSec blocks server resource pack downloads and lets you decline when a server tries to force one on you. Each account's resource packs are stored separately to prevent tracking.
How do I check what mods OpSec is currently monitoring?
Use the command /opsec info to see all mods the game is watching, or /opsec info [mod name] to get details about a specific mod. Use /opsec channels to see all hidden network paths your mods are using.
