How to Create a Party and Invite Friends in Open Parties and Claims

Opening the Party Menu

Press the mod's keybind (check your Controls settings — it is unbound by default on some setups) to open the Open Parties and Claims menu. Alternatively, run the mod's party command with no arguments to see the available subcommands. The menu has a Parties tab where you can create a new party and set its name.

Inviting and Managing Members

Once your party exists, you become its owner. Use the invite option in the menu or the party invite command followed by a player's name. The invited player receives a chat prompt and must accept before they join. From the same menu you can promote members, kick them, or transfer ownership.

Why Bother With a Party

Parties matter because claims can be shared. Instead of each friend claiming separate chunks, you can configure your party so members share claim permissions — meaning everyone in the party can build and break inside the group's claimed chunks. Check the party settings for toggles controlling whether members can interact with each other's claims, since defaults vary by server config. If a friend cannot build in your base, the usual cause is that they are not in your party, or the party's shared-claim option is disabled. Ask your server admin if the config blocks party claiming entirely.
