Explore an Ancient City Safely After Defeating Its Warden
Confirm the Warden is Defeated
Once you've killed the warden in an ancient city, no new wardens will spawn there. You can verify this by exploring without hearing the distinctive deep groaning sounds or feeling the vibration warnings that signal the warden's presence.
Search for Loot
With the warden gone, you can freely explore the city's structures. Look for sculk shriekers, sculk sensors, and valuable loot in chests throughout the city. Take your time examining each chamber and corridor without the threat of sudden attacks.
Harvest Sculk Blocks
You can now safely mine sculk blocks and other sculk variants if you have the right tools. Use a silk touch pickaxe to collect them intact, or mine them normally to obtain experience and sculk-related drops.
Establish a Base
Consider setting up a temporary base or waypoint in the ancient city. This makes future visits easier and lets you organize your findings. You can place chests, crafting tables, and other utilities without worrying about warden interference.
