One Block Mod FAQ

6 questions players actually ask, answered.

What is the One Block Mod?
It is a Minecraft mod that turns the game into an upgraded form of OneBlock survival or skyblock. You start on a small island with a single special block that regenerates with new materials each time you break it.
How do you start a One Block world?
When you create a One Block world, you spawn on a small island with a regeneration block in the center. The island's material depends on the dimension, such as grass and dirt in the Overworld, netherrack in the Nether, or endstone in the End.
What happens when you break the OneBlock?
Breaking the OneBlock destroys it and gives you resources back. It then regenerates with new materials, letting you evolve your world over time.
How does progression work in One Block Mod?
Progression is based on biome stages, with 36 Overworld biomes, 5 Nether biomes, and 5 End biomes. As you evolve, the OneBlock generates blocks from different biome stages.
Can multiple players each have their own island?
Yes, in multiplayer each player can spawn on their own island using an optional datapack. These islands are placed 1000 blocks apart.
What is the goal of One Block Mod?
You evolve your world from a resource-first start toward late-game progression. This is done by repeatedly breaking the OneBlock to obtain new materials and advance through biome stages.
