Switch Between Online and Offline Mode

Toggle Between Modes Quickly

You can switch your LAN server between online and offline mode without restarting your world:

1. Press Esc to pause

2. Select Open to LAN again

3. Click the OfflineLAN toggle to change its state

4. Adjust any other LAN settings if needed

5. Click Start LAN World

Important Notes

Each time you open the LAN menu, you're creating a new LAN session. Switching the toggle and restarting the LAN world will apply the new authentication mode.

When to Switch

• Switch to OFF if a player without a premium account wants to join
• Switch to ON if you want to return to authenticated-only access
• Switch modes between gaming sessions based on who's available to play

Player Reconnection

When you change modes and restart the LAN world, players will need to rejoin through the multiplayer menu. The server address may change, so they should refresh their server list to find the new session.
