Using the Recovery Compass

The recovery compass is specifically designed to help you retrieve your items after dying. Hold it in your main hand or offhand, and a HUD overlay will appear on your screen.

Reading the Display

The HUD shows two pieces of information:

• Top right: Your current coordinates (X, Y, Z)
• Top left: Your last death location and the dimension where you died

Finding Your Items

1. After respawning, hold the recovery compass

2. Check the top left of your screen for your death coordinates

3. Navigate to that location

4. Collect your dropped items before they despawn

This is especially useful if you died far from your base or in an unfamiliar area. The dimension display ensures you know which world (Overworld, Nether, or End) to travel to. Keep a recovery compass in an easily accessible location so you can grab it quickly after respawning.
