Odyssey Lite Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Why isn't the clock HUD showing up when I hold it?
The clock HUD only works in the Overworld. If you're in The Nether or The End, the HUD won't display even if you're holding a clock in your hand.
How do I see my coordinates while exploring?
Hold a compass in your main hand or offhand, and your current coordinates will appear in the top right corner of your screen.
Can I see where my lodestone compass is pointing?
Yes. When you hold a compass linked to a lodestone, the HUD will show both your current location in the top right and the lodestone's location plus dimension in the top left.
What's the difference between a regular compass and a recovery compass in this mod?
A recovery compass shows your current location and your last death location with its dimension, while a regular compass shows your current location and lodestone location if linked.
Do the HUD overlays work when the item is in my offhand?
Yes, clocks, music discs, smithing templates, and goat horns all display their HUD when held in either your main hand or offhand.
How do I identify which music disc I'm holding?
Hold the music disc in your main hand or offhand, and its name will appear in the top middle of your screen.
Will the HUD show up if I put the item in my inventory instead of holding it?
No, the HUD overlays only appear when you're actively holding the item in your main hand or offhand.
Can I see what goat horn I have without playing it?
Yes, hold the goat horn in your hand and the instrument name will display in the top middle of your screen.
Do smithing templates show their names on the HUD?
Yes, when you hold a smithing template in your main hand or offhand, its name appears in the top middle of the screen.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Odyssey Lite Mod is designed to be lightweight, adding only simple HUD text overlays that should have minimal impact on performance.
