Display Your Coordinates While Exploring

Using the Compass HUD

The easiest way to track your location is to hold a compass in either your main hand or offhand. A HUD overlay will appear in the top right corner of your screen, displaying your current X, Y, and Z coordinates in real time.

Linking to a Lodestone

For even more utility, link your compass to a lodestone:

1. Place a lodestone block in your world

2. Use a compass on the lodestone to link it

3. Hold the linked compass in your hand

The HUD will now show two location displays:

• Top right: Your current coordinates
• Top left: The lodestone's coordinates and which dimension it's in

This is invaluable for marking important locations like your base, farms, or resource areas. You can create multiple linked compasses to track different lodestones—just link each compass to a different lodestone block.

Note

Regular compasses without lodestone links still display your current location, making them useful for general navigation even in early game.
