Using the Clock HUD

Hold a clock in your main hand or offhand to display the current world time as a HUD overlay at the top middle of your screen. This lets you track day/night cycles without pausing or opening menus.

Limitations

The clock HUD only works in the Overworld. If you travel to the Nether or the End, the time display will disappear because those dimensions don't have day/night cycles.

Practical Applications

• Planning activities: Know when night is approaching so you can return to base
• Mob farming: Time your visits to farms based on day/night requirements
• Scheduling: Coordinate activities with other players by checking the exact time
• Navigation: Use time as a reference point when exploring

Tips

Keep a clock in your hotbar for quick access. Since the HUD only displays when the clock is held, you won't see it cluttering your screen during other activities. This makes it a low-impact way to stay aware of the current time while adventuring.
