Track Your Progress and Beat Your Best Time
Measuring Performance
Obsidian Pulse Map is built for speed drilling, so tracking your times helps you see real improvement. You'll want to monitor both individual attempts and your overall session performance.
Timing Your Runs
1. Start a fresh arena reset
2. Collect your tools and begin building your portal
3. Note the time when you spawn (use an external timer or the in-game clock)
4. Complete your lava casting, water placement, and frame check
5. Light the portal and record your total time from spawn to ignition
6. Reset and repeat, trying to beat your last time
Improvement Tracking
Run at least 5 consecutive attempts per session and record your three fastest times. Look for patterns—are you slow at lava casting or lighting? Do certain frame positions trip you up? Use this data to focus your next practice session on weak spots. Over multiple sessions, you should see your average time decrease and your consistency improve. The dedicated practice stations remove variables, so any time improvement comes directly from your skill gains.
