Obsidian Network Interface Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Why do my AE2 menus still look bright after installing this pack?
Make sure the resource pack is enabled and ranked above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list. If you're using a shader mod, some shaders can override resource pack colors—try disabling shaders temporarily to confirm the pack is working.
Does this pack work with addon mods I haven't heard of?
The pack officially supports a large list of popular addons like Advanced AE, Applied Pneumatics, and MEGA Cells. If your addon isn't listed, its menus may retain their default appearance, but core AE2 interfaces will still be dark-themed.
Can I use this pack with other AE2 resource packs at the same time?
You can load multiple packs together, but they may conflict if they both modify the same textures. Order them in your resource pack list so Obsidian Network Interface is positioned above other AE2 packs to ensure its dark theme takes priority.
Will the dark theme make it harder to see item details or tooltips?
No—the pack is designed to maintain clear item icons and readable text against the darker backgrounds. Text contrast and icon visibility are preserved so you can still identify items quickly in your storage grid.
Does this pack change how my storage terminal functions, or only how it looks?
This is a resource pack, so it only changes visuals—no gameplay mechanics, crafting recipes, or storage capacity are altered. Your terminal works exactly the same way; it just looks different.
Why do some of my wireless terminals still have bright menus?
If you're using wireless terminals from an addon mod that isn't on the supported list, those menus won't be reskinned. Check the supported addons list to see if your specific wireless terminal mod is included.
Can I customize the colors in this pack, or is it fixed to dark purple?
Resource packs themselves can't be edited in-game, but you can extract and modify the pack files if you're comfortable editing texture files and JSON. Otherwise, the dark theme colors are fixed as designed.
Does this pack work on servers, or only single-player?
Resource packs work on both single-player and servers—install it on your client side and it will apply to any world or server you join. Other players won't see your dark theme unless they also install the pack.
Will this pack slow down my game or affect performance?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures and visuals, not game logic. You shouldn't notice any FPS drops from using this pack.
What should I do if a menu looks broken or has missing textures after installing this pack?
Try moving the pack higher in your resource pack list, or temporarily disable other visual mods like shaders to rule out conflicts. If the issue persists, check that you're using a compatible Minecraft version and that the pack is fully extracted and not corrupted.
