How do I check my nutrition in Nutritional Balance?
Press the 'n' key (configurable) or click the nutrient button in your inventory screen to open the Nutrients GUI. The blue shaded areas show your current nutrient levels, with green lines marking target areas and red lines marking malnourishment and engorgement boundaries.
What happens if my nutrition is unbalanced in Nutritional Balance?
Getting all nutrients into the target areas gives you buffs, including extra hearts. Letting nutrient levels cross the red boundaries causes debuffs such as malnourishment or engorgement.
How do I see what nutrients a food provides in Nutritional Balance?
Hover over a food item to see which nutrients it provides along with the total number of Nutritional Units (NUs).
Can I configure Nutritional Balance?
Yes, the mod is easy to configure with data packs and/or configs. Only raw ingredients need to be tagged, since the mod traverses through crafting ingredients to discover a food's nutrients.
What is a non-essential nutrient in Nutritional Balance?
Some nutrients, such as sugar, are non-essential, meaning they have different targets than essential nutrients.
