Show Track Info Only When You Press a Key

Configure Manual Display Mode

Instead of automatic pop-ups every time music plays, you can set the mod to display track information only when you actively request it using a keybind or command.

Steps

1. Open the Now Playing Mod configuration

2. Find the Notification Trigger or Display Trigger setting

3. Change it from Automatic to Keybind or Command Only

4. If you chose Keybind, locate the Now Playing Key binding and assign a key (for example, N or a mouse button)

5. Save your settings

Using Manual Display

With Keybind: Press your assigned key at any time to see the currently playing track. This works whether music just started or has been playing for a while.

With Command Only: Type /nowplaying in the chat to display track information. This is useful if you want zero automatic notifications and prefer explicit control.

Both methods display the track info using your configured notification style (hotbar pop-up, toast, or status bar). Manual mode is ideal for players who find frequent notifications distracting.
