Have the Narrator Read Track Information Aloud
Enable Narrator Announcements
If Minecraft's narrator feature is enabled on your system, the Now Playing Mod can read track names and metadata aloud when a new song starts, providing audio feedback without looking at the screen.
Steps
1. First, ensure the Narrator is enabled in Minecraft's Accessibility settings (Options → Accessibility → Narrator → On)
2. Open the Now Playing Mod configuration
3. Find the Narrator or Text-to-Speech option
4. Toggle it On
5. Adjust the narrator volume if needed using Minecraft's narrator volume slider
6. Save and test by starting a new music track
How It Works
When enabled, the narrator will announce the track name and any additional metadata (such as artist or album information if available) using your system's text-to-speech voice. This works alongside visual notifications—both can be active simultaneously.
Note: The narrator must be supported by your operating system and Minecraft installation. If no voice is heard, verify that your system narrator is properly configured in Minecraft's accessibility menu.
