Display Music Track Names Above Your Hotbar

Enable Hotbar Notifications

The mod's default behavior displays track information as a pop-up above your hotbar when a new music disc or ambient track begins playing. This is the most immersive placement since it appears in your active gameplay area.

Steps

1. Open your mod configuration menu (usually accessible via the mods screen or a dedicated config key)

2. Locate the Notification Style or Display Mode setting

3. Select Hotbar or Above Hotbar from the available options

4. Ensure notifications are enabled (not set to "Off" or "Disabled")

5. Optionally toggle the "Now Playing" label on or off—this controls whether the text prefix appears before the track name

6. Save your settings and return to the game

Automatic vs. Manual Display

By default, the mod shows notifications automatically whenever a track starts. If you prefer to see track info only when you request it, change the trigger setting to Keybind or Command Only, then press your configured key or use /nowplaying to display the current track.

If your game cannot render hotbar messages (rare compatibility issues), the mod will automatically fall back to toast notifications in the top-right corner.
