Optimize Shader Performance on Low-End Systems
Identify Performance Bottlenecks
Before adjusting settings, check your frame rate. Press F3 (or your debug key) to see current FPS. If it drops below your target, the shader needs optimization.
Disable or Reduce Heavy Features
Open Shader Options and look for:
- Shadow Quality – reduce shadow resolution or distance
- Water Reflections – lower reflection quality or disable entirely
- Lighting Effects – tone down dynamic lighting if available
- Ambient Occlusion – disable if present
Nova's Vibrant Lite is designed to run efficiently, but older systems may benefit from reducing these individually.
Pair with Iris Mod
Ensure you're using Iris mod alongside this shader pack. Iris significantly improves load times and shader performance compared to standalone shader loaders.
Monitor Changes
Adjust one setting at a time and observe FPS changes. Return to your world and play for a minute to get an accurate reading. Once you find a stable configuration, save your settings and enjoy consistent performance.
