Enhance Water and Weather Effects Throughout the Day
Understanding Dynamic Water Changes
Nova Reimagined Shaders modifies water appearance based on the current in-game time. During sunrise and sunset, water takes on warm orange and pink hues. At noon, it appears bright and reflective. At night, it becomes darker and more mysterious. These changes happen automatically—no configuration needed—but you can enhance them through shader settings.
Adjusting Water Quality
In the shader options, find the Water section. You can increase reflection quality to make water mirror the sky and landscape more realistically. Adjust wave height and frequency to control how animated the water surface appears. Transparency settings let you control how far you can see into water, useful for both aesthetics and gameplay.
Weather Interaction
Rain and snow interact with the shader's lighting system, creating atmospheric effects. During storms, the sky darkens and water becomes more turbulent. Watch how weather changes the overall mood of your world. You can fine-tune rain intensity and fog density to match your preferred atmosphere, making storms feel more dramatic or subtle depending on your taste.
