How to Configure Nomowanderer So Traders Still Spawn Somewhere
Understand What the Mod Blocks
Nomowanderer prevents wandering traders from approaching and soliciting at your base. It does not necessarily remove them from the world entirely — it stops them from targeting your location. If you want traders to still exist elsewhere, you need to configure the mod rather than just placing talismans everywhere.
Find the Config File
After installing the mod, a config file is generated in your instance's config folder. Open it with a text editor. Look for options related to spawn behavior, radius, or dimension
restrictions.
Adjust Radius or Spawn Rules
If the config exposes a radius value, lowering it means traders can spawn closer to your base before being blocked. If it exposes a spawn toggle, you can keep spawning enabled globally while still using talismans locally. Do not guess numeric values — read the comments in the config file, which usually explain each option.
Use Talismans Locally Instead of Global Config
A cleaner approach for most players: leave the config at default and rely on the
Anti-Solicitor Talisman only where you need it. That way traders still wander the rest of the world and you can still trade when you leave your base.
Restart After Changes
Config changes usually require a game restart or world reload to take effect. Save the file, restart, and test by waiting for a trader spawn cycle.
