Upgrade Enchanted Diamond Armor to Netherite

Preserving Enchantments

If your diamond armor has enchantments, they will transfer to the netherite version when you upgrade using the smithing table.

Steps

1. Ensure your enchanted diamond armor piece is in your inventory

2. Obtain a netherite ingot

3. Open a smithing table

4. Place your enchanted diamond piece in the left slot

5. Place the netherite ingot in the middle slot

6. Collect the upgraded netherite piece with all original enchantments intact

Enchantment Transfer

All enchantments, including custom enchantment levels, are preserved during the upgrade. This means you can upgrade your best diamond gear without losing valuable enchantments like Protection, Mending, or Unbreaking. The netherite piece will have identical enchantments to the original diamond piece.

This is particularly useful for players who have spent time enchanting their diamond armor and want to upgrade to netherite while keeping their investment in enchantments. No re-enchanting or anvil work is needed.
