Upgrade Diamond Armor to Netherite Without Templates

Basic Upgrade Process

With this mod installed, upgrading diamond armor to netherite is streamlined. You no longer need to hunt for Netherite Upgrade templates in loot chests.

Steps

1. Gather your diamond armor piece (helmet, chestplate, leggings, or boots)

2. Obtain a netherite ingot from the Nether or by smelting ancient debris

3. Open a smithing table

4. Place your diamond armor piece in the left slot

5. Place the netherite ingot in the middle slot

6. The upgraded netherite armor piece will appear in the output slot

7. Take your new netherite armor

Key Differences

Unlike vanilla Minecraft, you do not need to place a Netherite Upgrade template in the right slot of the smithing table. The template requirement is completely removed by this mod. This makes the upgrade process faster and removes the bottleneck of finding or duplicating templates through crafting.

You can upgrade all four armor pieces individually using this method. Each piece requires one netherite ingot.
