Playing on Multiplayer Servers Without Sending Your XUID
The main reason players want this mod is that vanilla telemetry includes your XUID in plain text, which can be traced back to your account. Here is how to keep that from happening while still playing online.
Before You Connect
Make sure the mod is loaded on the client side. Telemetry is sent by the client, so you do not need server-side cooperation. Confirm the mod appears in your mod list for the profile you are using, then launch that profile.
Joining a Server
Connect normally. The mod intercepts the telemetry event at the point it would be sent, so your XUID, launcher identifier, client session id, and related fields never leave your machine. You should notice no gameplay difference — chat, movement, and server-side anticheat all behave as usual because they use separate channels.
What the Server Still Sees
A server operator can still see your username and, depending on the server software, your UUID. That is normal and required for authentication. The mod only stops the separate telemetry payload, not the login handshake. If a server asks you to install a
companion mod or client, that is unrelated to telemetry and you should read its own documentation before agreeing.
