No Resource Pack Warnings Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I know the mod is actually working?
Open the resource pack selection screen and look at your outdated packs: if the mod is active, the red warning borders around them are gone. Applying one should also skip the pop-up confirmation instead of asking you to proceed.
Does this mod remove the warnings for all resource packs or just outdated ones?
It targets the warnings tied to outdated or incompatible packs, not the normal pack list itself. Packs that are compatible with your game version never showed those warnings in the first place.
Do I need to enable anything in a config file for it to work?
For most players the mod works out of the box with no setup. If your version ships a config, it typically just lets you toggle the border removal and the pop-up skip separately, so check there if only one of the two is behaving.
Why are the red borders still showing after I installed the mod?
The most common causes are the mod not actually loading (check your mod loader's list) or another mod that re-adds pack warnings overriding it. Confirm it appears in the loaded mods list, then test with other pack-related mods disabled.
Is it safe to apply an outdated resource pack once the warning is hidden?
Hiding the warning doesn't change the pack's contents, so safety still depends on the pack itself. Outdated packs usually just have missing or renamed textures, which causes visual glitches rather than crashes, but packs with custom models or code can misbehave.
Will this mod break if I use it on a server?
It's a client-side mod, so it only affects what you see on your own screen and doesn't need to be on the server. Server-side resource pack prompts are handled by the server, so behavior there can differ from singleplayer.
Does it work with other mods that change the resource pack screen?
It generally coexists with UI and pack-management mods, but mods that redraw or replace the pack selection screen can conflict with the border removal. If borders reappear, test with those mods temporarily disabled to isolate the conflict.
Will hiding the warnings make my game load faster or improve performance?
No, it only suppresses the visual warnings and pop-ups; it doesn't change how packs are loaded or applied. Any performance difference you notice is unrelated to this mod.
Do the warnings come back after I switch launcher profiles or modpacks?
Yes, because each profile or modpack has its own mod list, so the mod needs to be present in that instance too. Add it to every profile where you want the warnings suppressed.
Can I turn the warnings back on if I want them?
Yes, either remove the mod from that instance or use its config to re-enable the border and pop-up warnings. Changes take effect after restarting the game.
