Fixing the Report Button Still Showing After Installing

Check the Basics First

If the chat report button is still visible after you installed the mod, the most common cause is that the mod is not actually loading. Confirm the file is in the mods folder for the exact profile you launched, not a different installation or launcher profile.

Common Causes and Fixes

1. Wrong loader. Make sure the mod matches your mod loader. A mod built for one loader will not run on another.

2. Wrong game version. A mod built for a different game version may silently fail to load.

3. Conflicting menu mods. Another mod that edits the game menu screen can re-add or preserve the report button. Disable other menu mods and test again.

4. Resource packs. Some packs change menu textures but should not affect button logic; if in doubt, test with only this mod enabled.

Verify the Change

After fixing, join a multiplayer server and press Escape. The report button should be replaced by a disabled "Open to LAN" button. If it is still there, check your launcher's log for a line indicating the mod failed to load, which will usually name the reason.
