No Report Button Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I know the mod is actually working?
Join any multiplayer server and open the game menu — the report button should be gone entirely, replaced by a greyed-out Open to LAN button. If you still see a report button, the mod isn't loading or another mod is overriding it.
Does this mod work on singleplayer worlds?
Yes, but you won't notice much. The report button only appears in multiplayer contexts, so in singleplayer the menu simply looks normal with no change needed.
Why is the open to LAN button greyed out?
That's intentional. The mod puts a disabled Open to LAN button in the report button's slot to match the pre-1.19.1 menu layout, since opening to LAN isn't possible while connected to a server anyway.
Can I still report players if I want to?
No, the mod removes the button entirely on your client. If you need to report someone, you'd have to remove the mod or use another method outside the game menu.
Will I get banned for using this mod on a server?
The mod is client-side and doesn't send anything to the server, so servers generally can't detect it. However, some servers have rules about chat reporting, so check their guidelines if you're worried.
Does this mod work with other chat or UI mods?
It usually plays fine with most UI mods, but mods that also modify the game menu or pause screen can conflict and cause the report button to reappear. Load order and which mod touches the menu first matters.
Do I need to install this on the server too?
No. This is a client-side only mod, so only you need it installed. The server doesn't need it and other players won't be affected.
Why does the report button still show up after I installed it?
Common causes are the mod not being loaded, a conflicting menu mod, or launching the wrong profile. Check your mod list in-game to confirm it's active, and try removing other menu-editing mods.
Does this mod affect performance or FPS?
No meaningful impact. It only changes a single button in the pause menu, so there's no ongoing performance cost during gameplay.
Can I use this mod on a server that requires chat reporting?
You can join, but you won't be able to report anyone through the menu. If the server enforces reporting or has strict chat rules, you're taking on that risk yourself.
