No Prying Eyes Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the mod after installing it?
The mod is enabled by default once installed. Open your config file (usually in the config folder) to see all available options, or use an in-game config menu if your mod loader supports it. Most features like telemetry disable and chat reporting bypass are active immediately.
What's the difference between the chat signing modes?
The mod offers 4 configurable signing modes that control how your chat messages are handled by the server's reporting system. Each mode provides different levels of protection against chat reports, ranging from full signing to complete bypass—check the Configure Chat Signing Modes guide for which mode suits your needs.
Does this mod actually remove my global ban?
No—the mod spoofs ban data on your client only, so the server still sees you as banned if you are. This is a client-side workaround for testing or personal use, not a true ban removal; you cannot join servers that have actually banned your account.
Will using this mod get me banned?
Using privacy features like telemetry disable is safe, but bypassing chat reporting or ban data on servers that actively enforce Mojang's systems could trigger detection. Single-player and private servers are safe; use caution on public multiplayer servers with active moderation.
Can I disable only certain features and keep others on?
Yes—almost all features are individually configurable in the mod's config file. You can disable telemetry while keeping chat signing enabled, or vice versa, depending on what you want to control.
What does 'on-demand signing' mean?
On-demand signing lets you choose whether to sign each chat message when prompted, rather than signing automatically. This gives you per-message control over which messages get reported to Mojang's system.
Does this mod work with other mods?
The mod is designed to work alongside most other mods, but conflicts can occur with mods that also modify chat or authentication systems. If you experience issues, try disabling conflicting mods one at a time to identify the problem.
How do I use Fake Ban Mode?
Enable Fake Ban Mode in the config to make your client appear banned locally for testing purposes. This is useful for testing ban-related features or roleplaying, but doesn't affect your actual account status on servers.
Does disabling telemetry affect gameplay or features?
No—disabling telemetry only stops usage data from being sent to Mojang and has no impact on game mechanics, features, or performance.
Can I use this mod on Realms?
The profanity filter bypass works without account age restrictions, but using chat reporting bypasses on Realms (which enforce Mojang's systems) is not recommended and may result in removal from the Realm.
