Mining Preparation

Gather the right tools:

• Use a stone pickaxe or better to break meteor blocks
• A Fortune III pickaxe maximizes material drops significantly
• Bring torches to light your excavation area
• Consider a shovel for clearing surrounding dirt quickly

Extraction Process

Step-by-step mining:

1. Dig down to the meteor carefully—it's usually just a few blocks below surface

2. Clear away surrounding blocks to access the entire meteor

3. Mine the meteor blocks with your pickaxe

4. Collect all dropped materials immediately

5. Gather any secondary drops or fragments

Maximize your haul:

• Don't rush; methodical mining prevents material loss
• Use a hopper or chest nearby to organize drops
• If underwater, create an air pocket first using blocks or a breathing apparatus

Post-Mining
