Breed Axolotls for a Growing Colony

Gather Breeding Supplies

To breed axolotls, you'll need tropical fish. These can be caught using a bucket in warm ocean biomes or near coral reefs. Collect several tropical fish and keep them in your inventory or a separate tank.

Prepare the Breeding Area

Ensure your axolotls have adequate water space. Breeding is more successful when axolotls have room to move around. A larger pool or tank increases the chances of successful breeding.

Initiate Breeding

With tropical fish in hand, interact with two axolotls in the water. Feed them tropical fish to put them in breeding mode. After a short period, they will produce baby axolotls.

Manage Your Growing Population

Baby axolotls will grow into adults over time. Since the mod prevents despawning, your colony will expand indefinitely. Consider creating separate tanks if you want to organize different colored variants or manage population size. With permanent axolotls, you can build a thriving breeding operation without fear of losing your investment.
