Making Campfire Zones Work on a Multiplayer Server
Server-Side Configuration
On a dedicated server, the mod's config lives in the server's config folder, not the client's. Edit the radius value there and restart the server so all players benefit from the same protection. If you only change your client config, other players won't see any effect, and mobs will still spawn around their campfires.
Client vs Server Behavior
The spawn-prevention logic runs on the server, since that's where mob spawning is decided. Clients only need the mod installed if the server requires it for connection, but the actual blocking happens server-side. Make sure every player who wants protection is standing near a campfire that exists on the server world, not a client-side ghost block.
Coordinating With Your Group
Agree on a standard radius so bases are consistent. If one player sets a huge radius and another sets a tiny one, protection will feel uneven. Also note that the mod blocks modded monsters too, so if your server runs other mob mods, their hostile entities should be suppressed inside the zone as long as they use EntityClassification.Monster. Test with a spawn egg before trusting it in a hardcore world.
