Using No Fog to Spot Structures and Biomes From Far Away
Why Fog Removal Helps Exploration
Atmospheric fog normally hides anything past a short render distance, which makes finding villages, temples, ocean monuments, and biome borders tedious. With No Fog active, your render distance becomes the real limit, so you can scan the horizon for recognizable silhouettes and color changes.
Practical Scouting Steps
1. Raise your render distance in Video Settings as high as your machine can handle — the pack only helps if you can actually see far.
2. Climb to a high vantage point (a hill, tower, or temporary pillar) and slowly pan the camera across the horizon.
3. Look for biome color shifts: desert sand, snowy plains, dark roofed forest, or jungle green stand out clearly without haze.
4. In the Nether, scan for fortress brick silhouettes and bastion shapes against the open lava sea.
5. In the End, look for the pale End city towers against the void sky.
Combining With Other Tools
Pair the pack with a spyglass or a zoom mod for even longer-range spotting. Because fog no longer masks distance, structures that were previously invisible until you were almost on top of them become visible from hundreds of blocks away, saving travel time and making exploration far more efficient.
