How to Remove the "Too Expensive!" Anvil Limit in No Expensive Mod
What the mod changes
By default, Minecraft blocks any anvil operation whose experience cost exceeds the vanilla cap, showing the red "Too Expensive!" text. No Expensive Mod removes that hard block so you can still apply the enchantment, rename, or repair even when the cost is high. The cost is still charged from your XP bar, so make sure you have enough levels banked before you start.
Steps to apply a high-cost anvil operation
1. Place your anvil and open it.
2. Put the target item in the left slot and the sacrifice item (book, tool, or matching item) in the right slot.
3. Check the XP cost shown in the output area. With the mod installed, the output should no longer be locked out by the vanilla cap.
4. If the operation is still blocked, your server or config may have a maximum repair cost set. Use /noexpensive maxLevel to read the current value.
5. Raise the cap with /noexpensive maxLevel <level>, or set it to 0 to let the mod calculate the limit automatically.
6. Take the output item and confirm the XP was deducted.
If it still says Too Expensive
Run /noexpensive maxLevel first. A low configured cap will re-create the restriction. Setting it to 0 restores automatic behavior.
