Prevent Endermen from stealing your End Portal Frames

Protect your frames before placing eyes

Once you insert an Ender Eye into an End Portal Frame, an Enderman will immediately spawn nearby and steal the frame block you just clicked. To avoid losing frames entirely, prepare a containment strategy before attempting the portal.

Setup options

Option 1: Build in a confined space

Construct your End Portal frames inside a small room with a low ceiling (2 blocks high). Endermen cannot teleport into spaces where they don't fit, which limits their escape routes and makes them easier to contain or kill before they steal blocks.

Option 2: Use water or suffocation

Place water around your portal setup. Endermen avoid water and will take damage from it. Alternatively, create a tight space that damages the Enderman when it spawns, destroying it before it can grab a frame.

Option 3: Kill the Enderman immediately

Have a weapon ready and attack the Enderman the instant it spawns after you place an eye. Deal enough damage quickly to kill it before it steals the frame.

Accept the consequence

If you're playing with this mod as intended, understand that completing an End Portal becomes impossible—the mod's core feature is blocking End dimension access through this theft mechanic.
