How to Tell Enchanted Items Apart Without the Glint
The Problem
The glint is the game's main at-a-glance signal that an item is enchanted. Remove it and two identical-looking swords or pickaxes can sit side by side in your inventory with no obvious difference. You need another way to distinguish them.
Practical Workarounds
1. Hover over an item to read its tooltip — enchanted items still list their enchantments in purple text.
2. Use an anvil to rename your enchanted gear with a clear label, so the name itself tells you which is which.
3. Sort your inventory so enchanted tools live in a fixed slot or chest section, separate from plain ones.
4. Combine this pack with a separate pack that adds colored outlines or borders to enchanted items, if you want a visual cue without the shimmer.
5. Keep a dedicated chest for enchanted gear and label it with a sign.
Combining With Other Visual Mods
If you use a HUD or inventory mod that marks enchanted items, that overlay is independent of the glint texture and will keep working. The pack only removes the shimmer, not enchantment data, so any tooltip, sorting, or highlight feature still reads enchantments correctly. Pick whichever cue fits your playstyle and apply it consistently.
