How to Keep the Glint on Only Some Items
Why You Might Want This
Some players want a clean look for most gear but still want a visual cue on their best sword or a specific set of armor. Because this pack works by making the glint texture transparent, you can restore the glint selectively by overriding just the items you care about.
Using a Second Pack to Restore the Glint
1. Create a small personal resource pack with the same folder structure Minecraft expects for item textures.
2. Inside it, include the original glint texture for the items you want to keep shiny, or simply leave those item textures untouched so the default glint applies.
3. Place your personal pack above the No Enchant Glint pack in the Resource Packs screen.
4. Reload resources and check each item.
Load Order Matters
Minecraft applies packs from the top down, so the topmost pack wins for any file both packs contain. If your custom pack sits above, its glint behavior takes priority for the items it covers, while everything else stays matte. If you get the order backwards, the whole inventory goes flat again. Test with one enchanted item at a time, and adjust the order until only your chosen gear shimmers. This keeps your hotbar readable while still highlighting the pieces you care about.
