How to Stop the Double Crouch Animation on a Laggy Server
What the mod actually changes
No Double Sneak targets the client-side animation desync behind MC-159163. On a laggy server your crouch state and the server's acknowledgement of it drift apart, so the game replays the crouch transition and you see the player dip twice. The mod smooths that transition so the animation plays once, even when your ping spikes.
Steps to confirm it is working
1. Join the server where you normally see the glitch. Pick a busy moment (mob farm, crowded spawn) so latency is realistic.
2. Hold your sneak key and watch your own player model in third person (F5). You should see a single crouch, not a stutter or repeat.
3. Ask another player to watch you sneak from their screen. The desync is most visible to observers, so their view is the real test.
4. If you still see doubling, check that no other mod is overriding the sneak animation. Animation or camera mods that touch the player model can conflict.
5. Test with the mod disabled to compare. If the doubling returns only when it is off, the fix is doing its job.
If it still looks wrong
Lag severe enough to drop packets can still delay the visual. The mod removes the double animation, not the underlying latency, so a genuinely frozen server will still feel sluggish even when the animation is clean.
