Troubleshooting: Particles Still Showing After Enabling the Pack

Check the Load Order First

Nine times out of ten, another resource pack is sitting above this one and supplying its own particle texture. Open Options → Resource Packs and drag this pack to the top of the Selected column, then click Done and re-enter the world.

Verify the Pack Is Actually Selected

A pack can appear in the list but not be active. Confirm it is in the right-hand column, not the left. Also confirm the pack file is a .zip sitting directly in resourcepacks, not a folder inside a folder.

Rule Out the Particle Setting

If Options → Video Settings → Particles is set to All, you should see the effect of the pack. If it is already on Minimal, you may be seeing the few particles the game still spawns. Set it to All temporarily to confirm the pack is working, then lower it again if you prefer.

Other Causes

Some mods add their own block-break particles that use different textures, so this pack will not hide those. If you use such mods, the leftover particles come from them, not from vanilla. Disable the mod or check its own config for a particle toggle.
