No Block Break Particles Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
What does the No Block Break Particles pack actually change?
It replaces the textures used for block-breaking particles with fully transparent ones, so the little fragments that normally fly off when you mine a block become invisible. The particles are still spawned by the game, they just can't be seen.
How do I turn the pack on after I've put it in my resource packs folder?
Open Options, go to Resource Packs, and move the pack from the left column to the right column so it's active. Make sure it sits above any other pack that also edits particle textures.
Does this pack improve my FPS while mining?
Usually not much, because the particles are still being created and rendered, just with transparent textures. Any gain is minor and mostly comes from reduced visual clutter rather than fewer calculations.
Why are block break particles still showing up after I enabled the pack?
Another resource pack loaded above it is probably overriding the particle textures. Move the No Block Break Particles pack to the top of your active list, or remove the conflicting pack.
Will this pack work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so it works on any server you join. Other players will still see their own particles; only your view is affected.
Can I use this pack together with a shader pack?
Yes, shaders and resource packs are separate systems and don't conflict. Just keep the No Block Break Particles pack high in your resource pack list so shader-related packs don't override its textures.
Does it remove other particles too, like sprinting or potion effects?
No, it only targets the particles produced when blocks are broken. Other particle types like sprinting dust, potion swirls, or explosion effects are unaffected.
Which Minecraft versions does the pack support?
It's built for modern Java Edition versions that use the current resource pack format. If your version is much older, the particle texture path may not match and the pack won't take effect.
Is there a way to keep some particles but hide only the block break ones?
Yes, that's exactly what this pack does by default. If you want to customize further, you'd need to edit the particle texture files yourself, since the pack doesn't include an in-game toggle.
Does the pack affect mob or player animations?
No, it only swaps particle textures. Block models, mob animations, and player skins are untouched, so your game will look otherwise identical.
