Making Zombie XP and Drop Farms Work Without Baby Zombies

Why your farm changes

Baby zombies used to add extra, faster-moving mobs to zombie farms. With them gone, your farm's throughput and the mix of mobs it handles will shift. You are now dealing purely with adult zombies and, in desert or husk-spawning biomes, adult husks.

Adjusting an existing farm

1. Check your kill chamber height. Adult zombies are taller than babies, so a chamber sized for babies may now let adults path around or get stuck. Raise or widen the drop/kill area so full-size zombies fall through cleanly.

2. Recheck your collection system. Baby zombies used to slip into odd corners; with them removed, items should funnel more predictably, but verify no adult zombies are clogging the chute.

3. If your farm relied on baby zombies for a specific drop rate, expect a lower but steadier output. You can compensate by expanding the spawning platform or lighting more spawnable area.

4. For husk farms, confirm the biome is still correct, since husks replace zombies in deserts and the mod removes only their baby form.

Testing after changes

Run the farm for a few in-game nights and watch the kill chamber. You should see only adult zombies or husks, no small fast mobs, and a consistent flow of drops and experience. Tweak platform size until the rate feels right for your needs.
