How to Get Unique Nebula Skies in Every New World
Understanding Seed-Dependent Skies
Nicer Skies generates its nebula skybox based on your world seed. This means two worlds with different seeds will show completely different nebula patterns, colors, and star arrangements. If you want a fresh sky, you need a fresh seed.
Steps to Get a New Sky
1. Create a new world and note the seed before you spawn in. The sky you see is tied to that seed.
2. If you dislike the nebula you got, exit to the world creation screen and enter a different seed manually.
3. Load in and look up at night to compare. Because generation is seed-dependent and non-repeating, even a one-digit change to the seed produces an entirely different sky.
4. Once you find a sky you love, keep that seed saved so you can reuse it for future worlds.
Tips
- Nebulas are most visible at night and in low-light biomes away from torch glow.
- If you want to preview skies quickly, use a flat world with clear weather so clouds and terrain don't block your view.
- Remember the sky is cosmetic only — it does not affect gameplay, mobs, or resources, so pick purely on looks.
