Manage Request Limits and Cooldowns

Understand Rate Limiting

Servers use request limits and cooldowns to prevent spam and manage API costs. These settings control how often you and other players can use the assistant.

Check Your Current Limits

1. Run /nex-config limits status to see active limits and remaining cooldown timers.

2. This shows how many requests you can make per prompt and how long until tools are available again.

Adjust Your Personal Limits

3. Set your maximum requests per prompt with /nex-config limits maxrequests <number>.

4. Set the cooldown between tool uses with /nex-config limits cooldown <seconds>.

Note on Permissions

Your ability to change these settings depends on server permissions. Admins control global defaults, but players may customize their own thresholds.
