Customize the Assistant's Name and Personality

Change the Assistant's Name

Make the AI companion feel more personal by giving it a custom name.

1. Run /nex-config custom name <name> and replace <name> with your chosen name.

2. The assistant will now respond using that name in all chat messages.

Set a Custom Personality

3. Run /nex-config custom prompt <prompt> to define how the assistant behaves and responds.

4. Write a clear instruction set — for example, you could make it formal, humorous, helpful for building, or focused on survival tips.

5. The assistant will follow your personality instructions in every interaction.

View and Reset Settings

6. Check your current customizations with /nex-config custom show.

7. If you want to restore defaults, run /nex-config custom reset.

Custom names and prompts are personal — they only affect your experience, not other players on the server.
