Nether Depths Upgrade PT BR Translation Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why can't I see the Portuguese text in my game?
You need to change your Minecraft language setting to PT-BR (Português Brasileiro) in the Options menu. The resource pack only translates content when that language is active.
Do I need the main Nether Depths Upgrade mod installed for this to work?
Yes, this is a translation resource pack only—it requires the Nether Depths Upgrade mod to be installed first. Without the main mod, there will be nothing to translate.
What exactly gets translated by this pack?
Item names, block names, fish species names, tooltips, descriptions, menu text, and advancement messages all appear in Brazilian Portuguese. The visual textures and models remain unchanged.
Can I use this resource pack with other language packs at the same time?
You can have multiple resource packs loaded, but only the language you select in your game settings will display. If you switch to PT-BR, you'll see Portuguese; switching to English will show English text.
Will this resource pack slow down my game or affect performance?
No, resource packs only change text and language files, not game mechanics or rendering. You should see no performance difference.
How do I know which Nether fish are which if I don't recognize the Portuguese names?
Hover over any fish or item in your inventory to see its tooltip with the Portuguese name and description. The tooltips explain what each creature or item does.
Does this pack work with multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without affecting other players. Everyone sees the language their own game is set to.
What happens if I update the main Nether Depths Upgrade mod—will the translation still work?
Usually yes, but if the mod adds many new items in an update, the translation pack may not cover them immediately. Check if a translation update is available for new content.
Can I see both English and Portuguese names at the same time?
No, the resource pack replaces English text with Portuguese when PT-BR is selected. You would need to switch languages in your settings to compare them.
Is this pack compatible with other Nether mods or just Nether Depths Upgrade?
This pack only translates content from the Nether Depths Upgrade mod. Other mods will display in whatever language your game is set to.
