How to Play Music CDs in the Music Player
Once you have a written Music CD, the Music Player is what actually plays it back for you while you move around. This guide covers loading, playback, and troubleshooting silent playback.
Loading a Disc
Craft or obtain the Music Player, then right-click it to open its interface. There is a dedicated slot for a Music CD. Place your written disc into that slot. The track list from the disc should appear in the player's menu. Select a track to begin playback. The player continues playing as you walk, mine, and fight, so you do not need to stand still.
Playback Controls
The Music Player interface gives you play, pause, and skip controls, plus a volume or track selector depending on how the disc was authored. If you burned multiple tracks onto one disc, you can switch between them without removing the disc. Closing the interface does not stop playback — the music keeps going until you pause it or the disc is removed.
If You Hear Nothing
First confirm the disc is actually a written Music CD and not a blank one. A blank disc shows no track list. Second, check that the player's volume is not muted in its own interface. Third, confirm the disc was burned successfully on the Computer — a failed burn leaves a disc with no tracks. If the track list appears but audio is silent, the issue is usually the player's volume setting rather than the disc.
