Stopping Bees From Breaking Your Turtle Eggs
Why bees destroy turtle eggs
Bees walking over turtle eggs would trample them, the same way players and other mobs can. If you keep a turtle
hatchery near a bee area, or if bees wander onto a beach where turtles have laid eggs, you could lose the eggs without understanding why. This mod removes that interaction so bees pass over turtle eggs harmlessly.
Protecting a turtle hatchery near bees
1. Place your turtle eggs as usual on sand near water.
2. If bees are nearby, you no longer need to fence the eggs off from them specifically. Bees will not break the eggs by stepping on them once the mod is active.
3. Keep other trampling sources in mind. Players, zombies, and other mobs can still crush eggs, so a fence or a
raised platform is still a good idea if you want full protection.
Combining bees and turtles in one area
This fix makes it practical to run a bee farm and a turtle breeding area side by side. Bees can pollinate flowers around the
hatchery without wiping out your eggs. If you were previously separating the two builds with walls just to keep bees away, you can now merge them into a single layout. Just remember that baby turtles still need to reach water, so leave a clear path from the nest to the shore.
