Nemo’s Firework Keybinding Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I set up the firework keybind?
Open your Controls settings, find the Keybinds section, and look for the firework keybind option added by this mod. Assign any key you prefer—common choices are side mouse buttons or keyboard keys like V or X. Once set, you can use that key to deploy fireworks while flying with an elytra.
Do I need fireworks in my inventory for the keybind to work?
Yes, you must have fireworks in your inventory for the keybind to activate them. The mod simply provides a faster way to use fireworks you already have; it doesn't generate them.
Can I use this keybind while not flying?
The keybind only works while you're actively flying with an elytra. Pressing it on the ground or while falling without an elytra will have no effect.
What's the best keybind for elytra racing?
Choose a key you can press repeatedly without interfering with your movement keys (WASD) or mouse look. Side mouse buttons or thumb keys work well since they don't conflict with flight controls.
Why aren't my fireworks activating when I press the keybind?
Check that you have fireworks in your inventory, that you're actually flying with an elytra, and that the keybind is correctly assigned in your Controls settings. If the keybind shows as unbound or conflicts with another key, rebind it.
Does this mod work with other mods that change elytra mechanics?
This mod should work alongside most elytra mods, but conflicts can occur if another mod also modifies firework behavior or keybinds. Test in your specific modpack to confirm compatibility.
Can I bind multiple keys to use fireworks?
The mod provides one keybind slot for fireworks. If you want multiple keys, you would need to rebind it each time, which isn't practical for racing.
Does the keybind consume fireworks faster than right-clicking?
No, the keybind uses fireworks at the same rate as right-clicking. It only makes activation faster and easier, not more efficient.
Will this mod affect my performance or FPS?
This mod is lightweight and should have minimal impact on performance since it only adds a keybind without changing game rendering or adding new blocks or entities.
Can I use this keybind in multiplayer servers?
Yes, the keybind works in multiplayer as long as the server allows fireworks and doesn't have mods that conflict with this one. The keybind is purely client-side.
